"Musik ist der Alkohol der Seele"

Imam Ibnul-Qayyim (may Allah have mercy on him) in Igaathat al-Lahfaan (1/242):
"Among the schemes and traps of Allah's enemy, by which he seeks to deceive those who possess little knowledge, understanding, and religious commitment, and through which he ensnares the ignorant, is the act of listening to whistling, clapping, and singing, accompanied by forbidden musical instruments. This practice closes people's hearts to the Qur'an and makes them inclined toward immorality and sin. This is the 'Qur'an' of Shaytan, an impenetrable barrier that keeps them away from the Most Merciful. It is a means leading to sodomy and fornication, through which Shaytan captures the hearts of those who follow falsehood, making it appear attractive through deception and trickery. He causes them to believe, through false arguments, that it is something good, leading them to embrace this idea and abandon the Qur'an for singing."
This statement emphasizes, from an Islamic perspective, the danger in certain forms of music and sounds, as they can distract people from faith and potentially lead them toward sinful behavior.
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"Among my followers, there will be people who consider unlawful sexual intercourse, the wearing of silk, the drinking of alcoholic beverages, and the use of musical instruments as permissible (halal)."
(Sahih al-Bukhari 5590)
